Lancaster belongs to Thomas Plantagenet who seized the whole of the north of England since the beginning of Edward II’s regency. The blood of Viking elders runs in the veins of his men who possess a boiling temper and who love fighting. In fact, in times of peace, the number of street fights inevitably increases in this region.

Lancaster is regularly pillaged by Scottish raids. Thomas Plantagenet must therefore deal with this constant threat and attempt as best he can to protect his people. However, if families living on agriculture suffer a great poverty, mining and the numerous forges that have recently been built greatly contribute to improving the region’s economy. Moreover, the wealth acquired with the textile industry, more and more present in the region, allow Thomas Plantagenet to generously pay the foreign warriors who accept to join his ranks. Thus, Lancaster’s troops can count on the Broken Wing’s support, a mercenary company that has been loyal to Plantagenet for a few years now.

Thomas Plantagenet’s relation to the royal family (he is Edward I’s nephew) allow him to claim the kingdom of England’s regency. In fact, he opposes to Edward II who he accuses of decay and incompetence and he refuses to see him lead the kingdom. Thus, he now besieges London in order to bring the young prince’s reign to an end and seize the reins of power.
