Mairead of Scotland
From Ex illis wiki
(1283-1290)
Princess of Scotland and Heir to the Throne (1283-1286), and Queen of Scotland (1286-1290)
Mairead of Scotland is nicknamed the Maid of Norway because her mother married the king of Norway. She is, therefore, more Norwegian than Scottish. She is the grand-daughter of King Alexander III of Scotland, and his only heir after the death of all his children.
Mairead of Scotland is betrothed to Edward II in 1286, after her grandfather's death. She dies at the young age of six while crossing the North Sea to attend her coronation in Scotland. Her death leaves the kingdom in great turmoil.
