Unseelie
From Ex illis wiki
The Unseelie fairies, or damned fairies, form a disorganised group of malicious and sadistic beings who have an obvious taste for all kinds of violence. Their group is far from being coherent and they rather act on their own all over the European territory. It is not unusual for an Unseelie fairy to attack a remote village and harass its inhabitants until they leave the region, handing it to her. This process may last months, even years, during which the fairy will lure carefree humans into the woods so they get lost and will raid the township at night or enter the village to murder and sow terror. In extreme cases, the fairy can even put a spell on warriors, enslaving their body and mind and turning them against their own community. When an Unseelie fairy is set on something, not much can be done to convince her to give up the objective she has set. She will defeat her enemy or perish in her “mission”.
When a fairy manages to expel all form of civilisation from a township, it will haunt the location to preserve the new wilderness of her trophy. This way, wandering bandits and mercenaries quickly learned not to stop in abandoned villages if they want to avoid dangerous surprises in the middle of the night.
